We’ve adapted our OSCE Circuits Course to match the new Part 3 exam. The questions and our assessments are exactly the same as you’ll face in the real exam. This is essential so that you now what to expect and what is expected of you on the Big Day. We’ll score you on communication, information gathering, and your approach to patient safety.

Four Circuits over two days allow us to test you on almost each and every type of question you get in the actual Exam. To make it even more relevant we use past RCOG questions, which we have modified. You see how you perform under pressure and get used to moving through a series of 12-minute stations. You get to do this in similar surroundings to those in which you will sit the exam at the RCOG so you’ll feel at home on the Big Day.

Anyone who has sat the Part 3, or the old OSCE, will admit to feeling nervous and unsure if they could pass and that this is made worse by the overwhelming desire and need to pass. However, they now all agree that there was no need to be nervous and that adopting a calm and logical approach to the Part 3 is the key to success. We’ll show you how to do this and prepare you better than anyone else can. You will leave feeling more confident and that will help you perform on the day.

These courses book up very quickly and often within 1-2 days of the results being announced so make sure you let us know if you are interested. We do allow you to book in advance, without payment or even a deposit, but do ask you to confirm your attendance within 48 hours of the publication of the written results. We always offer two and sometimes three Circuits Courses. Please note that these Courses are identical so there is no need to do the Course more than once unless you really want to. Some people do find this helpful but we would only allow this if we have been able to accommodate all other delegates who have been on Courses.

‘Tips & Tricks’? Circuits? What is the difference? - read more

A common question!

Idiots guide? Tips & Tricks = theory and Circuits = practice.

It’s not that simple though.

Tips & Tricks goes through the exam and uses past RCOG questions to ensure you know the types of questions you can expect and how to answer them. We’ve critically analysed the Part 3 and worked out what we believe are the key things you need to do to score well. It’s arguably the most important course as it covers all aspects of the exam. Many people think they already have a good grasp of the Part 3 and the different ‘domains’ but we’re yet to meet anyone who truly knows. You’ve worked hard to get to this point so do not leave anything to chance at this stage.

Our Part 3 Circuits Course gives you the chance to use the information taught on the Tips & Tricks Course and test your knowledge in a series of real exam scenarios with clinical and lay examiners. It’s basically a mock exam but with group and personal feedback. You’ll get a real feel for the exam and understand the pressures of time, upset patients and angry examiners.

Some delegates just do one Course but they are designed to work together. Ask anyone who has done the Courses and they will tell you they work best together.

There’s also only so much we can teach you in two days but by combining the courses we’re confident we can pretty much cover the syllabus and give you all the ammunition you need and the confidence to pass the Part 3.
