Our on line service focuses on the first part of the process namely your CV, portfolio and application. We show you how to stand out from the crowd and how to pick up points on interview day.
You need to plan your application well in advance. Publications and presentations, involvement in research and recruitment to trials, completed audits, and teaching with personal feedback all count. These require a great deal of preparation and hard work in the months or ideally years before. We can give you ideas of how to excel in these areas and advice on how to get involved in projects and related work. There are formulae for everything: you just need to know who to approach and what to ask them. We’ll show you.
You also need to show you are committed to the specialty. This also requires preparation and involvement in related areas. You also need to consider what transferable skills you have: you will be surprised!>
Make sure you are familiar with all the essential and desirable criteria as set out on the Modernising Medical Careers (MMC) website and the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) in the Applicants’ Guide on the ObsJobs website. Both are a little old but contain a wealth of currently relevant valuable information and advice; just ignore the dates until they are updated!
“You played a huge amount in my success. All the tips from the course definitely made the difference between a pass and fail for me! “
